JOB SUMMARY

Job Summary: As a Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing patient-centered care, promoting health, and preventing illness. You will work in various healthcare settings, collaborating with healthcare teams to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality medical care to patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and vital sign monitoring. Develop and implement care plans based on patient needs.

  2. Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosages and patient safety. Monitor and document medication effects and side effects.

  3. Medical Procedures: Perform a wide range of medical procedures, including wound care, IV therapy, injections, and catheterization.

  4. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques. Provide guidance on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.

  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Communicate effectively within the healthcare team.

  7. Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed. Stay updated on emergency protocols and certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS).

  8. Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control practices to prevent the spread of diseases within healthcare settings.

  9. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and are treated with dignity and respect.

  10. Pain Management: Assess and manage patients' pain, implementing appropriate pain relief strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.

  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

  • Continuous learning and professional development mindset.

Working Conditions:
